What We've Been Doing - Autumn Term
Friday 9th November
This week we have been learning about our new topic 'Mythical creatures'. We learnt what a myth is and had a go at describing the creatures we designed at home. We shared our holiday homework with a buddy. Thank you for helping your child complete this homework task.
This week some of us got to go and visit the new housing development to see our painted bricks. We had a great time and were spotted showing excellent behaviour!
Friday 5th October
This week in our topic lessons we have been pretending to be Samuel Pepys to imagine what it would've been like during the Great Fire of London. We looked at Samuel Pepys' diary extracts and then we wrote our own.
We have also created stunning silhouettes of the Great Fire of London. The children's art work is being displayed in the classroom - please come in at the end of the day if you would like to see it.
We had a lots of fun painting poppies on bricks for the new housing development in Bingham. The children are excited about being part of this big project.

Friday 14th September
Over the holidays we had a fantastic time researching "The Great Fire of London". We made models, wrote fact sheets, drew pictures, printed information and some of us even visited London to find out more about it! We had a great time sharing our homework with both our friends in Sycamore as well as Oak class.
A huge thank you to everyone who completed their topic homework. It was lovely to see so many different ways of children representing their research.
