Last week our attendance winners with a whopping 100% was Maple class (again!).
Overall our school attendance was 97% which is higher than national average – well done everyone.
Have you booked a space for our family dining on 20 October?
Meals cost £2.70 and there is a choice of macaroni cheese, stir fry, jacket potato and pasta, tomato sauce, beans and cheese. Alongside this there is also freshly made bread, salad, vegetables, fruit, jelly, yoghurt and cookies.
To book your place please go to the office to pay for your meal.
We also have a special pumpkin themed lunch on the 12 October.
A survey about our lunches will be going out shortly. It would be great to hear your feedback.
Our school motto is ‘Work Hard, Be Kind’.
Work Hard: We teach children how to be excellent learners by demonstrating
positive attitudes for learning (PALs).
Your child will bring home their report card today. These will give you information about how they have settled in so far. You will notice that we are using our Positive Attitudes for Learning (PALS) because these are valuable qualities which enable our children to be the best learners. These are also the qualities we celebrate in our Friday assembly. Your child’s teacher will also write some top tips to help you support your child at home.
This is a new format so we hope you like it.
On 12 October we hold our annual pumpkin competition. Bring your decorated pumpkin to display in our playground. There will be prizes for the most imaginative creations.
Bookings are now open for parent. Each session lasts up to 10 minutes and is in person. If your child has additional needs Mrs Marshall, our special needs lead, will if possible, also attend that meeting with your class teacher. If you need longer to chat to Mrs Marshall she will arrange some additional time with you.
Please check that you have selected your child’s class and a time that suits. We look forward to seeing you.
Please be mindful about where you park when dropping off at school. Because School Lane is so short of space we ask that you do not drive down here when families are coming to school. Please be good neighbours when parking elsewhere, thank you.
Tuesday 10th October is dress up in yellow for wellbeing. If you want to join in then please wear yellow to school. Donations can be made to Young Minds, who support young people’s mental health. For more information or to make a donation –RMI Just Giving fundraising - hello yellow
