NewsletterAutumn Term - Friday 4th October

~ October 2024 ~

As shown on the diary dates, on Friday 11th October, school will be closed for a Nova Trust INSET day. All staff will be visiting various other schools within the Trust to participate in professional development sessions focusing on primary teaching, inclusion and business and operations.

Our final INSET for this academic year will take place on Friday 14th February 2025. We have ensured this is in line with an already planned INSET at the junior school.

On Monday, your child will bring home a letter with information about the parents' evenings taking place on:

Monday 4th November - Elm and Maple Classes

Wednesday 6th November - Hazel, Pine and Willow Classes

Please return the reply slip by Monday 14th October. You will receive a slip back to confirm your appointment day and time by Thursday 24th October.

Thank you

We are hoping to set up a group of parents who work together to support the school to make it the best it can be for the children. This may be by supporting with school events or organising fundraising activities to raise money for resources for the school that it would otherwise not be able to afford.

If this is something you are interested in, please visit the school office or send an email to office@rmischool.co.uk

Thank you to everyone who joined our Harvest celebrations on Wednesday and for the generous donations. It was lovely to see so many families join us to hear a variety of songs, poems and readings.

A local Bingham author, Chrissy Sanderson, visited Robert Miles Infant School on Thursday, to share her story with the children in Year 1 and 2.

The heart-warming story is about Cranky the cat who is feeling very unhappy.  The wonderfully illustrated animals gather together to try and work out how they can help their friend.  It is a story about caring for each other and showing kindness which helps Cranky the cat cheer up because he feels so loved by his friends.  If interested, the story book can be obtained from Amazon or a signed copy can be bought locally from Iris Blue, Eaton Place, Bingham.
