Please note the change of venue for the carol service on Wednesday 11th December due to building work at St Mary's church.
On Friday 15th November, it is Children in Need. On that day, it will be non-school uniform. The children are welcome to wear spotty / Pudsey related items, but their own clothes are fine too. Reception children will still have Forest School so please ensure their clothing is suitable for this, and bring wellies in a bag as usual.

As shared via a Tapestry post on 25th October, our first Family Dining sessions will take place on the following dates / times:
Wednesday 20th November - Reception at 11.30am / Year 1 at 12.30pm
Wednesday 27th November - Year 2 at 12.30pm
For new parents... on this day, we invite 1 adult family member to join each child for a school lunch. Unfortunately, we can only accommodate 1 adult per child due to space.
If you have children in different year groups, and are only able to make one day, please let us know when you book your place and we will ensure you are able to sit with both children at the same time.
For the cost of an adult meal, Aspens, our catering company, charge £2.60
You will be able to choose from: lasagna or vegetarian pizza or pasta & sauce or jacket potato (with beans, cheese or tuna)
It will be the same for both dates given, which will mean a change to the menu advertised on the website.
Please see the office to book your place and pay the £2.60 for the cost of the adult meal.
The final date for booking a place will be Monday 11th November.
Thank you
Please see the poster below, from our catering company Aspens, for the menu for a themed day on Thursday 21st November:
We are moving towards a cashless office and have set up a new online payment system through My Child at School (MCAS). Please look out for an email from MCAS with a link to set up an account. Once this has been set up you will be able to make payments via the app for trips, products, wrap around care etc. If you have any problems with this, please contact the office on office@rmischool.co.uk

On Friday 6th December, from 2.30pm, parents / grandparents and carers are invited into school to take part in some craft activities and independent learning sessions (in Reception, we call this our VIP time – Very Important Play).
Due to space limitations, please can we ask that only one person attends for each child? If you have children in different classes, you will be able to spend some time in each class.
Please do not worry if you are not able to make it – the staff will ensure they play and do crafts with any children who do not have an adult there.
On Friday 29th November, our Y2 choir will be performing in Bingham Market Square, as part of the Christmas fair and lights switch on. It would be lovely to see our families supporting this. For those children in the choir, Mrs Attwood will send out a separate letter with more information and a consent form.

This may be by supporting with school events or organising fundraising activities to raise money for resources for the school that it would otherwise not be able to afford.
If this is something you are interested in, please visit the school office or send an email to office@rmischool.co.uk
